The 49ers are consistently one of the top teams in the NFC West and they regularly host home playoff games as they compete for a spot in the Super Bowl. In addition to hosting 49ers home games, Levi’s Stadium often hosts special events such as concerts and international soccer games.
Santa Clara University first opened in 1851, and it surrounds the historic Mission Santa Clara de Asis area. Their mission is to help students invest in the life they want to lead. The campus is beautiful, and many people enjoy taking walks through the public areas and grassy outdoor spaces. They offer a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, and they were recently honored with the Excellence in Diversity Award, which serves as a testament to their commitment to inclusion and diversity in each of their programs.
Central Park stretches over 52 acres and offers plenty of space for picnics as well as multiple children’s play areas and two lighted tennis courts. The 30,000-square-foot community recreation center serves as a headquarters for many of the city’s public recreation programs. You can play a game of pick-up basketball on the park’s basketball court, or visit the Veterans Memorial for an informative learning experience. On certain days throughout the year, such as Presidents’ Day and Independence Day, you’ll find 57 flags flying at the entrance of the park near Kiely Boulevard. The park is open from 6 AM until a half hour after sunset.
